BI Solutions is the gold partner of Business Objects, Looking for a candidate who has good experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing The role includes:
- Managing smaller engagements without supervision.
- Supporting the Program /Project Manager on larger projects in putting together proposals, business and functional specifications and project plans.
- Responsible for the deployment of product on client site
- Identifying project risks / escalating issues and feeding back information to Practice/Program/Project Managers
- Create reports, dashboards according to the client requirements
- Owning the overall design and implementation of the business intelligence application software, including universes, reports, dashboards and analytics
- Working with the customer business users to ensure that the design of the business intelligence solution accurately maps to the customer’s business requirements.
- Providing creative source of ideas/solutions to address problems enhancing individual, team and client knowledge of Business Intelligence projects
- Will be solely responsible to provide the technical support to client for resolving their problems
Skills Required:
- Overall 6 plus IT experience required.
- A degree in Computer Science from a reputable local or foreign institute plus 4 years of experience in the offered job, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Software Consulting or Enterprise Application Implementations.
- At least 2 Years experience with core Business Objects products with some exposure to BusinessObjects XI R2
- Strong expertise for Database design using major Relational Database Management Systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or DB2)
- Knowledge of servers operating systems (Windows and UNIX, Solaris, AIX and/or HPUX)
- Development experience with Data warehousing / ETL
- Working with web technologies (HTML or XML), application server environments (ASP, JSP, JAVA, or NET) and web servers (IIS or Apache).
- Strong understanding of Business Intelligence Implementation Methodology.
- Completely familiar with the general requirements and issues associated with building BI solutions including Data Warehousing, ETL, and Query/Reporting and Query/Reporting
- Travelling would be required frequently
